Hi Oloni. When I tell my boyfriend I love him, he doubts me and says no you don’t. What can I do to prove to him that I love him. Apart form telling him I try and show him through planned date nights, giving him my time and trying to meet his emotional needs. I don’t know what else to do. 11. August 2015

If you’re doing all the things you’ve mentioned, you must now ask why he feels you don’t love him in your next discussion. Has something happened in the past for him to feel this way? Talk about it.

Hi Oloni, I am 18 yrs old and t=think I am ready to date and should be allowed to. I have had a bf when I was and done thiings but my parents are not aware of it. Now that I actually want to and make it known my parents think im too young and that every guy just wants me for sex (you know nigerian parents). I have a number of guys who are interested in me and there is a particular one who has his life together who I will like to be with but my parents are the problem. by the way he is 20. Sometimes I have to lie about my whereabouts just to go on dates. I need your opinion ..do you think 18 yrs old is too young to get into a serious relationship 11. August 2015

18 isn’t too young, it’s a great age to practice dating. Sit down and talk to your parents about it, be honest and explain what you see in the guy you’re dating. You’re old enough to make you own decisions in all honesty, just don’y expect them to be open to the idea of him coming back to yours after dates etc.

Hey oloni . So i met somebody and he decided to make me his girlfriend after 1 month of dating and I agreed . I love his personality and the way we click , personally I would say that I haven’t felt the same about anyone else however one issue is that he is a Christian and I’m a Muslim and although we try to brush the issue to one side , I feel like it’s a deal breaker for him but he does want me to know . What do think I should do ? 11. August 2015

If you feel like it’s a deal breaker, then talk about it with him. Some relationships do not work when the individuals have different beliefs, some do.

‘Emotional cheating’ is a subjective term. How would you, personally, define it? And when do you think a man or a woman should feel like they are being emotional cheated on? 11. August 2015

When you give yourself emotionally to someone else outside of your relationship, you’re cheating emotionally.

Hi Oloni. Really love your site. Just wondering how I can go about meeting someone new. Was in a relationship for a few years but it wasn’t working out and now I don’t know how to get out there and Tinder sucks lol 11. August 2015

Make dating your relationship status and put yourself out there. Go to new places, meet new people.
