Hi Oloni, here is my dilemma – I am getting married in just under 4 weeks and my brother is refusing to attend. My brother cheated on his ex girlfriend who has been apart of our family for 7 years and who happens to be my maid of honour, best friend and obviously hugely apart of the wedding and ceremony. I wouldn’t want to do this without her by my side, she is also God mother to my son. The issue is, my brother wants to bring the girl he cheated on he’s ex girlfriend with to MY wedding and I refuse to have her at my wedding? He is claiming I am being overly dramatic and selfish?? Am I justified in not allowing her to attend my special day? It is also very last minute as everyone has RSPV’d and arrangements have already been made.

Your brother is insane and is really the selfish one. He has no business inviting people you don’t want there. This isn’t love and hip hop the reunion, for him to invite such a guest. If they were married…just maybe. But girlfriend? No. It’s your wedding. If he wants to risk missing it for his silly new girlfriend, them honestly leave him to it.
