It’s hard to find makeup that is ultimately sweat proof, and won’t come off in a runny mess, and how can we avoid this from happening? We’re giving you tips and tricks for a ‘sex proof face’.
Setting spray is the ultimate way to make sure that your makeup stays on, it’s kind of like hairspray for your makeup, but it feels nicer and doesn’t have a sticky effect. Often setting sprays leave a matte effect on your face similar to a powder. The best part is it’s completely invisible, and it’s perfect for bedroom situations as well as every day and long nights. Urban Decay famously released a setting spray named ‘All nighter’, it’s available online for £21.00. It makes sure your makeup doesn’t fade, melt or set into lines.
Lip stains for cheeks and lips work well to give a natural flush to the cheeks and give a light colour to the lips without it being obvious you have colour on. Lip stains have effective staying power, and can stay on all through the night. You can opt for a darker colour, or a lighter one, whatever you prefer. They can be picked up reasonably cheap from a local Boots or Superdrug. Or if you want to invest in a high-end product, Mulberry have a wide range of long lasting stains
Eyebrow seal is essential if you don’t want your eyebrows to come off! Surprisingly we sweat a considerable amount from our eyebrow region. If you don’t seal them often at the end of the day, what you applied in the morning is no longer there. You can use a clear mascara, or Benefit have released tinted brow gel if you want to add some colour.
For eyes, opt for a waterproof mascara over a normal one. It’s more likely to stay on and if you’re a person who wears liner, try a gel one over liquid. It has immense staying power, even if it is harder to get it off at the end of the day!
