An Extended Hiatus for Fashion Police

Brad Goreski, Kelly Osbourne, Kathy Griffin, and Giuliana Rancic—the panelists, until recently, of Fashion Police (EI Network)

The infamous show, Fashion Police has been put on an extended hiatus from E! until Fall (September) after Kelly Osbourne and Kelly Griffen leave.

The network said in a statement “We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with executive producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of Fashion Police fans around the world.”

If you’re not familiar with this show, Fashion Police is a weekly news, talk-show that discusses the latest red carpet and every day fashion trends of Hollywood celebrities. Mimicking what we already do at home with our friends when the various award shows are on, however, it can be a downright onslaught and bashing of a celebrity’s attire and can get out of hand quickly. There are numerous examples of this with the most recent being the remark made against Zendaya.

Kelly Osbourne reportedly departed the series after co-host Giuliana Rancic made an undoubtedly offensive remark about Disney star Zendaya’s dreadlocks at this year’s Oscars. After only being a part of the Fashion Police entourage for a number of episodes, Kelly Griffen decided to also depart the series.

“After a while, I kind of felt like I was being forced to comment about pictures of beautiful women in perfect dresses and say kind of bad things,” Griffin said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “As a feminist and a comic, it just didn’t feel like the right fit for me.”

Only speculation can be made about the true future of the show as of right now, despite E! saying it will return for the Fall. What are your thoughts on the show entirely, should it return or exit stage left?

Life is simple; Dress well. Eat Well. Live Well.
