2015’s Romantic Breaks For The Non-Romantics
There is nothing like a short, or long, getaway with the one you love and, if you are anything like me, you’ve probably already picked 2015’s holiday destinations.
But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t board of seeing the same old cliché Seine River cruise in Paris or the Sandals resort in the Caribbean. *pukes*.Why can’t a couples holiday have the same feel as a girls getaway? Why not put the fun back in your relationship this New Year and conquer new territories and experience once in a life times together.
Here are Simply Oloni’s top 5 unconventional couple’s holiday suggestions for 2015.
- Road Trip – I have a friend who toured about 6 countries in Africa with her partner. Experiencing the culture, traditions and customs of another country together could give you a new zeal of life and create irreplaceable memories that seeing the same old sand sea and beach cannot. Why not take a few weeks out and tour Europe, or if you still want the culture paired with the sun, sea and sand, may I suggest the south of USA. Florida, New Orleans and Texas.
- Vegas – Vegas can be seen as a lads/girls holiday destination with the cliché ‘Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’ moto attached to the trip. However, who says you can’t blow a little money with your other half in the casino, then drown the sorrows of your loses in alcohol at the bar, followed by a drunk night of rough sex. Then, maybe nurse your hang over by the pool while you work on your tan. You never know, you might come back as a Mr & Mrs.. You can’t marry your girls – unless of course you’re into that kind of thing.
- Volunteer – Holiday with meaning. There are plenty of non-profit organisations looking for volunteers for their overseas work. Taking your eyes off each other and focusing on something greater as a team can bring a refocusing, rekindling and a new appreciation for your other half.
- Brazil Carnival – Combine Sun, Sea, Sand and culture by visiting Brazil during this festive season. Relax by the sea during the day then party all night with the locals.
- Skiing – To be honest, skiing can be pretty romantic. If your partner is more of a thrill seeker than you are, then this is something for the both of you. You can watch him attempt to attack the larger slopes while you conquer your fear and have a go at the smaller slopes. Should you fall or hurt yourself, you can nurse your bruises in the spa, cuddle up by the fire place and enjoy the white mountain views. May I Recommend LeCrans Hotel in Switzerland.. Beautiful!
To Simply Oloni, a good relationship is a friendship set on fire. Let’s not forget the friendship aspect.
