The Dream Nation Gala 2015
On Friday night I attended the Dream Nation Gala, one of the most anticipated events created by founder Claud Williams, especially after its success last year. Over 400 people attended and boy was I glad to be one of them. Women came out in their most chic ball gowns, that were tailored all the way to the ground, while the men entered the building in their suits and tuxes. Might I add how dapper a lot of you looked.
It was a night to celebrate the end of the year, the success of individuals, to network, (perhaps meet a new love interest or just dress up?) – With filled glasses and strangers meeting for the first time, the atmosphere was full of so much positive energy.
The evening started with icebreakers to get everyone up for a bit of networking and if you were like me, your clutch was probably full of business cards. There was also an amazing backdrop booth where attendees clowned around and took photos. The sponsors included Make It With Fifi (remember those tasty cakes?), Loughborough University, Jungle Magazine and MDM Flow.
I clearly took advantage of the backdrop with my friends and boyfriend…
Later on that evening Florence Adepoju the founder of MDM Flow won the Practical Dreamer of The Year Award. It was so amazing to witness the entrepreneur get recognised for her achievements this year as she really inspired me and deserved it.
Shortly after MOBO award winning artist, Shakka took to the stage and performed hits off his EP ‘The Lost Boys’ and a fav of mine ‘Say Nada’. His fans packed themselves right to the front of the stage to sing along to every word… yes I too was one of them.
The night ended with even more socialising, dancing and number swapping. If you missed out, where were you? And what were you thinking? I enjoyed the Dream Nation Gala mainly because of the experience, as the team never fail to deliver. They always says that your network equals your net worth and that night I learned exactly why.
