Styling a Pink Coat

Now oversized coats are in and always will be during A/W14’ , but there is one colour on a big coat that everyone absolutely loves.

Pastel Pink.

When adding colour into seasons where most people live in black, is seen to be daring and controversial but often people buy into these trends and never know how to style them. Below I put together a quick styling of how I would wear an oversized pastel pink coat.

When styling a coat in the colour of pastel I think, I always feel that the best way to start is to pick one colour that will rule throughout your entire outfit. Considering the season and being that I love me some black clothes, I decided to keep the outfit basic and focus around that colour.

I used a light washed ripped denim jean to break up the black (I hate when things look too one colour and another colour). For accessories I opted for some gold accents (on the watch face and bracelet) again to break up some black and add a slight pop. Cat eye sunglasses are so classic, need I say more. Pointed court heels are also such a classic shape and give an air of elegance which is needed when pulling off a trend that is slightly out there and last but not least a big black bag, with a classic bold shape to set everything off.
