Trends are usually a thing you buy into once and never go back to them again. However, there is an off chance that you may stumble across one that keeps repeating it self year after year and never gets old.

The knee high boot is one of those reoccurring trends and I’m loving it. No matter what fabric, colour or style of heel, there is always a boot to suit you and any outfit you choose. I personally love plain black knee high boots as they can really pull most outfits together and I also see them as a chuck on and go wardrobe item, which I feel is a must have.

Black is my favourite colour and I always base an outfit around a black piece. The tartan scarf and ripped jeans give a hint of punk/grunge, but the rest of the outfit has a classic twist. Gold is used as a accent throughout the look and the boots help to add elegance to the entire outfit. Polo or turtle necks have also become very 2014, they are a chic and must have item in the AW wardrobe (also protecting your pretty neck from that bitter cold).
