The Face Masks That Are Perfect For You

Face masks are a pampering, beneficial way to draw out impurities, exfoliate, hydrate, soothe or tone your face. There are six main types of face mask, all with different benefits and purposes. It can often get confusing when choosing the right face mask for you. Simply Oloni are giving you a run down of each different face mask type, and how it can benefit your skin.

Clay Mask – Clay masks contain natural clay substances, it draws out the impurities in the face as the clay tightens and dries. Clay masks can be quite drying to the skin, as the clay sets on the face. It’s best applied to oily or normal skin, as it won’t dry out moisture from the face as much with these skin types.

Peel-off Mask – Peel off masks aren’t as absorbent as clay masks, they come in plastic, gel subtypes. Peel-off masks tighten the skin temporarily and encourage blood flow in the face. They are ideal for mature and dry skin types. They are also the least messy mask to remove!

Thermal Mask –  Thermal masks gradually heat up after being applied to the skin. The heat encourages the skin to breath, and the pores to open. Thermal masks can remove the impurities from the pores, and often leave your face feeling smooth and soft. Thermal masks are suitable for most skin types, as they aren’t known to dry out the skin so much.

Cream Mask – The aim of a cream mask is to leave you with soft, smooth skin. They are ideal for those that want to rejuvenate their skin, as well as those with dry to normal skin types.

Warm-oil Mask – Warm oil masks are often applied in spas, and facial treatments. They can contain oils such as almond oil, and olive oil. They are perfect for dry or mature skin, as they promote blood flow in the face and give that extra moisture.

Natural Mask – Natural masks are based on fruits, vegetables and plenty of natural ingredients. These being ingredients such as cucumber and grapefruit. These masks are full of goodness, and can help with dull skin and acne.
