Revenge Porn Has Become Illegal

At last something to put some bitter ex’s to sleep. Yes, parts of the UK have considered that posting revenge porn will soon be seen as a criminal offence where you can face up to 2 years behind bars. As you should.

The new law covers photos shared via text or social media such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Scotland and Northern Ireland are also considering the law too. Revenge porn has been described as “photographs or films which show people engaged in sexual activity or depicted in a sexual way or with their genitals exposed, where what is shown would not usually be seen in public”

Those who have dealt with revenge porn have a had a difficult time having their photos being removed from the internet. Some pictures have even been used as an advert on pornographic sites, and when asked to be removed are often ignored.

Reports show that according to eight police forces in England and Wales 149 allegations of revenge porn were investigated during January 2012 to July 2014.
