Chill Day Make Up

Sometimes when I’m with my boyfriend we have those days where we might go for coffee at some point, however we just want a chilled out day and stay in most of the day. Personally, I love these kind of days as I don’t feel like I have to dress up or put make-up on. I just wear super simple make-up, that I can put on in minutes and it gives me the bit of confidence I need, with minimal make-up. I’m sharing with you my simple make-up tips as well as a hairstyle for the chilled day, using only three products.

Highlighter is one way you can transform the way your skin looks, and if applied correctly it can look amazing. There are three main areas you should apply highlighter, the cheekbones, temples and the cupid’s bow. When applying it to your cheeks, blend it on the highest point of your cheekbone and up towards your temple. Highlighter can work really well even without foundation, it looks very natural especially in the light. The main aim when applying highlighter is to get a reflective dewy look, that makes you appear like you just moisturised your skin. The last thing you want is to be shiny or glittery. If your highlighter gives your skin a slight sheen, you’ve got it right.

A tinted lip balm is an essential for those lazy days, it’s much lighter than a lipstick and will just give you moisture with a subtle hint of colour to your lips. Offering hydration and your favourite lip shade, what’s not to love? You can purchase tinted lip balms in a stick form or inside a pot, they are also really easy to put inside your pocket or handbag.

Mascara Primer is a perfect way to make your eyelashes appear more curled and longer, but without the added colour. Alternatively you can use a clear mascara, it gives the desired look, but it will make your eyes appear fresh and make-up free.

And lastly, the easy, quick and simple hair look. Putting your hair in a messy bun is one of the easiest and simple ways to make it look like you’ve made an effort. Just tie your hair up, make the bun and pull out any hairs to give it the ‘messy look’. The plus side to this hairstyle is that you can do it with pretty much any hair type if it’s long enough, if your hair isn’t quite long enough to place at the top of your head, a side bun can also work well. Spraying some sea salt in your hair can also give it some more texture, this gives the look the extra bit of volume.
